Once you start working for an organization and set your goal within the company as to where you want to be, the next best step is to inquire about job shadowing the position that you would like to get promoted to. This way, you would learn more about that position, as well as develop your skills and gain more experience. When that position becomes available, you will be picked because you already have firsthand experience. Job shadow is beneficial to both the corporation and you. It saves your company training time and expenses, and expends your skill.
I agree with the post by Nura Axmed. Job shadowing can be very beneficial to individuals looking to be promoted or move up the corporate ladder. Job shadowing can help individuals figure out whether or not the can picture themselves liking and doing that job. It gives a person a perspective on a certain job through another person. It can be very helpful in determining if a person can see themselves in a position or role within a company. It almost gives the person a little tour of the potential job, putting the person temporarily in the shoes of the person who actually has that job.
